Look
for one of the purposes of Temples in this Dedicatory Prayer.
For thou
knowest that we have done this work through great tribulation; and out of our
poverty we have given of our substance to build a house to thy name, that the
Son of Man might have a place to manifest himself to his people.

Although
the Lord can manifest Himself anywhere He chooses, the Temple is a special and
unique place where we can feel the Lord close. We go there to serve others. People often go to the Temple to
receive specific direction and enlightenment on a concern. But people also go
just to partake and renew themselves in His presence. The Temple helps us know God better and receive
the nourishment and perspective we need.
Today’s Recharge:
If possible, figure out a time in the near future to go to the temple and renew
yourself. Open yourself up and seek to
feel His Presence there. You will if you
are seeking it. Seek and you shall find.
