Doctrine & Covenants
101:16
There
is a lot of anxiety in the world today. Perhaps there is a lot to worry about: the economy, personal income, health, family, nuclear weapons, disease, war. If we are not careful, we could become a real
mess of apprehension and angst.
But
look back at what that verse is saying. We are in God’s hands, unless we have
chosen to jump out His hands. Because God is all powerful and perfectly good, and all
knowing, we can choose to be at peace, even though the world is troubled.
Today’s Takeaway: We
need to still ourselves, take a slow breath, and relax. Even though this world is
fallen, and bad things might happen, we can be at peace. God’s plan is
perfect. If we will stay with Him, God
will make it all right. Trust Him.
